Savage Worlds settings are complex and there are several edge cases introduced by numerous settings that are not fully supported or are handled slightly differently in Wild Card Creator. Below is a complete list of such cases:

Savage Worlds Deluxe

  • Elderly Hindrance: If you take the Elderly Hindrance and have Strength or Vigor at a d4, then try to raise either or them by one die step, you will have one point be “lost” and it will remain at a d4. This is by design, as raising either by one die step would would technically place the character at a d6, but Elderly lowers it to a d4. Also, it is up to the user to ensure that skill points gained from this Hindrance are applied only to Smarts.

50 Fathoms

  • Elements: The different types of elements for Arcane Background (Magic) are not kept track of at this time.
  • Heroisim: This setting rule is not yet available, but is planned for the future.

Accursed

  • Familiar Edge: This Edge is split into multiple Edges each with its own effect, instead of being an Edge that grants different effects each time it is taken.
  • Mongrel: At this time, Mongrels can only take two Edges of their choice and do not have the option of taking special abilities.

Agents of Oblivion

  • Branches: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Channeling Skill: The linked attribute of the Channeling skill depends on which Arcane Training Edge the character takes. The skill will appear without a linked attribute if a character does not have an Arcane Training Edge and will change to the proper linked attribute if one is taken.
  • Defining Interests: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Gadgets: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Languages: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.

  • Patent Devices: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Perform Skill: Currently cannot be split into different types, e.g. Perform (Saxaphone).

  • Racial Edges: Characters qualifying for the Adaptable, Double Shot, and Natural Warrior Edges aren’t always indicated as such.
  • Loot Table Gear: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.

Hell on Earth Reloaded

  • Infernal Devices: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Special Gear: Drugs and other special gear are not yet supported

Hellfrost

The Savage Worlds Deluxe Conversion is included, updating the setting for Savage Worlds Deluxe.

  • Glory: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Runes: Instead of taking the New Power Edge, Arcane Background (Rune Magic) gains runes by taking newly created Edges for each rune (e.g. the “Healing-Rune” Edge).

Interface Zero 2.0

  • Athletics Skill: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time. Because it is optional, it will ideally become something that the user can enable if they choose.
  • Chromed Edge: The 15,000 credits are only for Augments, but it is up to the user to enforce this.
  • Contacts: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Designing Sprites and Avatars: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Drones and Robots: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Enhanced Ability Edge: This Edge currently has no effect within Wild Card Creator. If the player would like to use it, take the New Power Edge via a houserule.
  • Ex-soldier: The 5,000 credits are only for weapons, armor, or Augments, but it is up to the user to enforce this.
  • Golemmechs and Powered Armor: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Power Level: Different power levels are available, but cash specifically for augments is not included at this time..
  • Psionic Specializations: At this time, Wild Card Creator does not support skill specializations, so all skill rolls for Arcane Background (Psionics) are used with the standard, unspecialized Psionics skill.
  • Occupations at 0 XP: As clarified by David Jarvis, a character does not receive an Occupation’s additional cash at 0 XP. It is granted for the first time starting at 5 XP.
  • Occupations with Variable Cash: Occupations that have a variable amount of cash granted based on some aspect of the character (e.g. Con Artist, which grants Smarts x 500 bonus credits) have the amount “locked in” once the Occupation is taken. You will need to remove and re-add the Occupation in order to reset this amount.
  • Willpower: Power Points currently serve the functionality of Willpower. They are still labeled as “Power Points”, but otherwise have the correct values for Willpower in Interface Zero 2.0.

MARS

  • Earthman Abilities: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.

Necessary Evil for SPC

  • Power Level: The power level used is Street Fighters with Rising Stars, since it is closest to the power level found in the original Necessary Evil.

Realms of Cthulhu

  • Defining Interests: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Languages: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.

Science Fiction Companion

  • Customizable Gear (e.g. Custom Power Armor): Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Cyberware: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Super Abilities: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.

Shaintar: Legends Arise

  • Alternate XP Ranks: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Arcane Backgrounds: With Sean Patrick Fanon’s blessing, Arcane Backgrounds are renamed to match their Magic Styles. So Adept grants Arcane Background (The Way) rather than Arcane Background (Psionics).
  • Applications: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time. In general, any Edge that grants one of a choice of different effects each time you choose it (e.g. Applications, Familiar) does not give the user a choice of effects.
  • Defining Interests: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Dwarves: The Stoic racial ability, requiring two points to increase Spirit during character creation, is not currently applied. Will be fixed in 1.5.1
  • Eldakar: The Gossamer racial ability, requiring two points to increase Vigor during character creation, is not currently applied. Will be fixed in 1.5.1
  • Items from Edges: Edges that grant items, like Heirloom and Soul-bonded Item don’t yet provide items
  • Languages: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
  • Wizard Edge: The Wizard Edge is still called the Wizard Edge, rather than being renamed the Mage Edge. This is because the Mage Professional Edge exists and having two Edges with the same name (not to mention the Mage Professional Edge granting the Mage Power Edge) caused some problems.

Sundered Skies

  • Orcs: It is up to the player to enforce the rule that they may only increase Smarts every other Rank.

Super Powers Companion

  • Heightened Senses: The choices for this power are listed as +0 modifiers. It’s up to the user to ensure that they are only taking the amount that they can normally take.
  • Super Attribute/Super Skill: Per Clint’s explanation, these powers are taken separately per trait. For instance, Pulp Heroes with a 5 point campaign power limit can take 5 point Super Attribute: Agility and 5 point Super Attribute: Smarts.
  • Switchable: Not functional in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.

War of the Dead

The text is from Alternate Beginnings, which is updated for Savage Worlds Deluxe. This appears even if you import the original PDF.

Weird Wars Rome

  • Occupations: Not available in Wild Card Creator at this time, but planned for the future.
